I am toying with the idea of putting a couple of better hugging front seats and in the process, mounting them as low as I can to the floor. Right now I feel like I sit on top of the car - I am 6'5.............

Just wondering has anyone sourced replacement seats? I found these ones in leather for $599 the pair which seems pretty damn cheap. What I concerned about is actually fitting my ample  back into the things.

Anyone got any ideas?

Are they 'genuine' Recaro's or just a sports style seat? I know someblock from here put Sparco racing buckets in his T and I think that fast white car in Melbourne had a one piece seat?

I suppose the biggest thing is it sturdy and comply with all the ADR's? Worst thing you want is a seat made of Balsa! Wonder what the leather is like???

Genuine recaro's are triple that price.

In saying that, if you do want to get a decent bucket style seat you will be looking at 1200+ each (for decent seats that will last)

You will also need to get someone to engineer some rails aswell as get the whole thing certified. Unless you want a defect/non compliance sticker sitting on your car.

Compliance is the biggest issue.

I guess you will need to speak to someone on here that has fitted seats, but I know even with the rally cars compliance on seats & harness is the biggest & almost costly issue.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to imply that those I posted were in fact Recaro's because let me assure you, they are not.

Go for it though cuz; the custom seats would be sik as. You've got the milo tin sorted, just add the tinted headlights and a few stickers and you'll be set

I have my sticker all ready for the back windscreen............... much better than $1650 on number plates!

You know, I was originally going to change the exhaust, it was done this way due to time constraints but everyone loves it!

Im thinking about selling my Recaro's out of the XC. Im chasing the old skool look in the big fella.

I paid $3200 for them about 3 years ago. Roman Autotek installed them for me, took them all day! They will bolt into a XA - XC, but to fit a BA will require new mounts fabricated.

If anyone is interested, drop me a PM.
