The v8 supercars have live axles, most v8 race cars (transams in NZ) have live axles.  Dont count them out for a high horsepower car, particularly a circuit car.

Lumpy mentioned IRS not for the power capability, but for the handling.

Yeah, I believe that a PROPERLY set-up live axel is one of the best setups for power transfer but for everyday road drving, with maybe a quick hard squirt IRS are generally considered a better option...Aren't they :spoton:

Great find, damn that looks nice :)

Nice looking cars, but I know with 500 supercharged horsepower I'd rather have IRS than a nice live axle. (hell, I've got that in my EB). One of those set up with an AU Double Wishbone caper, plausible.

Then again, Mustangs (and most US cars for that matter save a few specials) have NEVER had a reputation for great handling. :laughing:

No need for great handling, just long straight highways there. Even Canada, was intrested to see how handles but no where to put it through it paces but it was great for ighways though :)
