Whiteline 27mm Front Swaybar

A phoon certainly would benefit, just like the XR6T. Sizing etc is the same, will have the same effect. Everything you've read here applies to the phoon.

From what I've read, most seem to go for 27mm front, and 22mm rear (if desired), though care needs to taken with the rear, as too stiff a bar could lift the inside wheel under hard cornering.

Easily removable too, and not expensive.

I read that article from Whiteline but it keeps leaving me with ... if you're going to replace the back dampers why not replace the fronts at the same time for consistency of spring/damper response....which adds up.

What I havent found on reading these forums is a good recommender yet....as my cars a commuter essentially I'd like to tighten her up but not to the tune of Koni/Bilstein etc.....I'd like something low-mid range and affordable I can replace without pain.

Anyone?

I've got my 27mm bar being fitted next week so if I can get something in mind would make some sense to have one visit to the fitting joint

My opinion I found that the 27mm bar I had fitted a month ago makes the front end to firm and unless your fitting Koni or bilstiens it just gets to bouncing over bumpy cornering (feels a bit Au ish)great on a smooth road though but too harsh for everyday driving IMO

In saying I dont know if mt GT sway bars are any different but I will be going back to the std bar with the neothlane bushes

I read they were 24mm front, and 19mm rear.

I just measured the ones I took off - yep 24 and 19mm standard. What is the size of the XTs and Ghias?

I havnt noticed any more bounciness at all with the stiffer swaybars - maybe it is the extra weight of the fatty v8?

Ok, so does this 27mm swaybar (#BFF21) fit a BF ute too?

from the ute owners out there - have you guys done much with the rear end? (sorry for hijacking, but I thought id be get flamed if I opened up another thread )

So I chased one up through a mate, cost me $103.00, and had a place in Ferntree Gully fit it for me for a dozen Jim Beam cans ($34.00)... nice...

For the money (BFYB) it's easily one of the best mods I've done to the car... it rides so much flatter through corners, makes the car feel so much 'smaller' if that makes sense, you don't feel the weight of the car anywhere near as much... turn in is so much better, much more positive.  It holds it's line far better.

I live at the foot of Mt Dandenong and when I get the chance later today I'll head up the Mountain and test it out...

If you are thinking of doing this mod, do it... you won't regret it.

Ninka is overseas at present so dig up one of his posts as his signature lists his mods.

For what its worth I'm running the same swaybars as Alan along with lowered springs and it's all good.

I can all but guarantee that you won't regret the purchase.

Goldie is on the job, that is once he puts his auto in, acts like a pimp in his pimpmobile at the all Ford day tommorrow, and recovers sometime mid next week.

Mean while I am drooling in anticipation.
