439.8kw At The Wheels

Im not ripping it through the gears, all I can do is just put it into second, feed it in slowly, and hope it doesnt snap sideways to viciously!

Bit of a update, CAPA have my blower at the moment, they are upgrading it to a V4 XX from the V4 J trim, so that will push a bit more air through.

Im also removing the heads for a bit more porting, and installing a roller cam.

600kw at the wheels shouldn't be a problem. :spoton:

How hard were you spinning the blower.

Any update's as yet.

I've smashed 3 single rails with only 150rwkw.. Having a good strong clutch doesnt help the situation either..

and yes.. the gear selector is made out of plastic, and rips out of the housing.. there were alloy ones made.. But I got creative with mine, and folded down 3 of the metal flaps and screwed them into the side of the housing.... that's creative engineering :P

Single rail is still holding up strong, first is a bit of a vagina to pull sometimes, but other than that its hanging on nicely! My main problem is slave cylinders, I keep on baking them cause of the 4 into 1's....

We have just finished installing a MSD module, got a 88 tooth LS1 crank pulley, should bump psi up by about 4 - 5, hoping for about 500kw at the treads, then the engine may come apart for a port and roller cam, see what happens, and see how the funds are!!

Nope, according to CAPA ive got the smallest blower pulley available.

How many teeth on it

If that's the case they gave you the wrong size cranl pulley to begin with, they can work boost out based on a few simple details.

Seek professioal advice Micky. CAPA aren't quite sure at the moment.

lol@bolt on kits from CAPA

Whoa nellie!

After last weekend, I was keen to find a dyno that could handle the XC's output, and I was very lucky to also have a quick clean up tune done on the girl too.

Final Result was 439.8kw atw at 4750rpm, or near enough to 600hp at the treads. The blower has run out of capacity over 5000rpm, so im ordering another one on Monday from CAPA. The current blower can push out roughly 1350cfm of air, the newie pumps 1850cfm. Hopefully that will be enough! If not, ill go bigger! :stirthepot:

And all of this with a standard 4 speed single rail gearbox! Not sure how much longer that is going to last....

A huge thanks to Kit and the team at Gen-Tech, those blokes even though they specialise in LS1's, still made the figures I wanted, and it drives like a dream.

Stay tuned for higher numbers.......

Well done!
