Worth chucking a catch can in maybe? Would oil in it affect performance?

Yep, oil in the combustion chambers will increase the chances of detonation. My old Volvo 850R had oil drain holes in the intercooler ( and a catch can standard )... turbos just leak a bit of oil through the seals which is normal. But maybe if the service guy mentioned it, it may be more than normal.
