I think im missing something here?Are/did you cut the factory speaker wires to use in the new setup (as your speaker cables)?Or are you referring to when you cut the speaker cables at the speakers points (factory) to make way for the replacement ones (rather then at the ICC point)? Im guessing this is what you are talking about...If this the case... check that all the factory speaker cables are now shielded right and not touching each other, or the car body, or new speakers in anyway... (best thing to do is get some heat shrink wrap and cover the ends with it... leave some over hang, then while it is still warm lick your fingers and press the ends (overhang) of the tube press together... wack 2 lots on the ends just to be sure...Also if you didn't disconnect the battery when you cut the factory speaker wires you have prob shorted out the amp mod inside the ICC and therefore it is tripping out a safety switch and therefore blowing the fuses...My best bet is with the first option... that somewhere your factory speaker wires are either touching the car body, or each other, or basically not correctly terminated...Re-check each of the wires to each of the speakers again... (my best bet)...If doing upgrades, the best thing to do is always include replacement speaker cable with the install... Not to hard to run... if its from the rear/boot (in the case of running amps)... you can run the cable under the carpet through the middle of the car (center console) under the back seats etc... means you wont have to pull out all the trimming on both sided of the car.. However when running your RCAs and porer make sure they are all run on different sides - keep the power away from the RCA's to prevent feedback/interference...If running from the head unit... just run the speaker to the rear up through the center of the console, and the fronts under the dash, into the doors via the grommets which are already run for other cabling... You can feed the cable through this by using a coat hanger (however be very careful not to damage any of the other cables... always worth wrapping tap around the outside of the hanger...Once it is through the other end, tape the speaker cable to the hanger then carefully pull through...If your not sure u might be best paying a installer to do the job... Nothing against your ability, however due to the current problem, might be worth paying the extra $100 or whatever bucks to make sure its do really well!Not sure if your in Sydney, however if so might be able to recommend a few places to get it done, if somewhere else, im sure some of the guys on here might be able to recommend somewhere also...
