Hi guys

Was wondering if a stock XR6T or XR8 exhaust cat back would fit onto a N/A XR. And if so is there any performance gains to be had or is it just a waste of time???

Thanks for your input people.

Cheers

Steve

Hey duc...

If you have a look over at Ford Forums there is quite a few boys and girls over there with N/A BA's and from what I have read they use them to pretty good effect... from memory (and I could be wrong) but it's good for about 5-10rwkw... which is better than nothing...

I did quite a few of them when I was working at a Ford dealership.

Left overs from fitting Herrods products !!

Before and after dyno readings showed we picked up about 10 rwkw.

If you can, I would recommend keeping the factory tip on the XR system.

We did a couple with 2 small dump pipes fitted behind the bumper and it tended to "Bark" a fair bit.

Average cost to have Midas do a mod to the front flange to make it fit was about $80.

Hope this helps you out !! :spoton:

Would $500 be a good price for a second hand full xr6t exhaust of a car with 5000kms on it?

ive seen them go cheaper than that, ive recently seen on ebay one for 80 dollars, one for 200, and I know some1 who has one that would be wanting to sell. is your car a sedan or a ute?

My car is a sedan, although it already has a twin pipes from the back of the main muffler.
