Mate, I don't think anyone has it - but there are a few units on Ebay at times. It's a Blaupunkt system, from my research.

Hi,

I've the Blaupunkt in my Typhoon, and the Streetpilot C320 in my wife's Challenger. Given that the Blaupunkt is more than twice the price of the Streetpilot, I'm sorry to say the Streetpilot is better!

- The S is *way* more up to date (on Perth roads) than the B, despite me getting the latest CD.

- The B doesn't name streets you are passing, just the road that you are on, whereas the S gives you the details of approaching junctions.

- The S is vastly more accurate on arrival times.

- The B occasionally requires reloading of the CD, as it stops giving directions (has happend four times in eight months).

- The touchscreen on the S is a really fast and easy way to enter addresses.

- The B does have a vastly better screen (but the S is fine), as it is tied into the Ford premium pack screen, and gives useful summary information on the main screen, I suspect it also has better satellite reception.

- As the B uses the same screen as the radio/temp/trip display, this means amending one of those temporarily obscures the map, so if you're getting close to a turn, you have to bat the wife's hand off the radio controls!

- Finally, I think it is safer to have to visual display at eye level on the windscreen, than in the middle of the dash, so I wish I'd bought two C320s and saved myself about $1,500.

- The B can handle tunnels better, as it uses distance and speed to calculate position as well as satellite tracking. In Perth, there is an exit immediately after a long tunnel, which the S misses, as it cannot retrack the GPS quickly enough.

I recently bought my Garmin c320 with a free padded carry case for $745 (RRP$889) at the boat show, less $50 cash back from sensis. At $695 I reckon I got a bargain for what is a great product. One of the reasons I chose this model was because it has twin speakers which are very clear.

I have been using the Tom Tom 300 for about 6 months now and think its excellent for the following;

It is very portable, easy to set up and as I travel a lot and use Hire cars it has proved its worth every time I go out of Perth

It can go for about 4 hours on its internal battery.

I have found the road coverage very detailed, even had the crappy little dirt roads we were drilling along north east of Ceduna.

The directions anticpate your movements at least two turns ahead, e.g. "turn left then turn right in 800m" so you know to get into the right lane as soon as you can after turning, very good feature when driving in Traffic.

The voices crack me up, I have downloaded John Cleese onto mine and he is a very sarcastic bas*ard to have along for the drive, worth the $17 and was so easy to do even I was able to upload it onto the Tom Tom in one try.

The only downside is the mounting fixture, it cracked while driving over these crappy dirt roads, but Hardly Normal replaced it under Warranty.

Ended up trialling and getting a Tomtom Go 710 - as it also doubles as a hands free kit via Bluetooth. Seems to have most of the new roads out in Sydney West so that's good but I'll let you know in a few weeks time...
