Just for my own infomayshin, what are considered safe AFRs for these things?

I'm talking about a car that's going to be driven daily, and needs to be as reliable as a very reliable thing.

well how long is a peice of string???

the tuning method needs consideration some of nizpro's earlier tune were 14.7 at full load eg miss ally's no ping and safe

my method is around 12.4-7

others use 10's and 11's

each to their own!!!!!

Just for us dummies - can someone explain what the variations between each different tune are?

My thoughts of the variables, there are:

- AF ratio

- Duty cycle of injectors

- Boost

- Timing advance

what else?

How does HPF for example make different power at the same revs compared to Nispro or WogPro??

I'm a bit of dummy when it comes to this too, but I ask heaps of questions when I pick up my car, as I know that I'll get asked all those questions at a later stage...

Cobra, fuel used also influences final output and stuff too... I have just switched from BP Ultimate over to Optimax Extreme 100RON and that fuel all by it's self can allow for about another 3 degrees of timing advance to be added over 98RON fuel... which then allows another lot of power for the car to make...

With regard to the editing process it completely confuses me, there are just so many variable's you can change via the edit. I find it fascinating though!! The top tuners certainly do earn their money, there just seems to be so much trial and error and R&D involved in getting yourself up to speed... they are to be commended for this and producing the results that they do!
