We have very similar power levels and both are driving manuals... so similar cars... Jack

I can only assume that whatever was previously removed was even more obnoxious than what I am attempting to clean up now. If you weren't a mate I would have deleted the whole thread and told you to start over - there is no need to involve slagging any other member in your thread.Next question = tankslapper gone wrong.... sh*te another 1/2 second and 2m all would have been sweet So near but yet so far

Posted 20/06/06 02:12 PM Share Posted 20/06/06 02:12 PM Fair enough... it's probably hard to explain in written format without going in to massive detail... but I do understand 'tank slapper'...Such a shame mate, at least you are ok, and hopefully no-one was hurt, the car can always be repaired...Glad to see your insurance company come to the party as well... have never heard a bad word about AAMI... if only they'd insure me too... not until I'm over 30yo, only 18 months to go...Jack

I did a similar thing in the wet where I came out of a bend in the wet and was stupid enough to drop into 4th pretty hard. I somehow managed to come out fairly good (didn't go through insurance cos I felt guilty) but what I'm trying to say is, situations (like you said) do change and you must be very careful (even with std power) at all times. My down fall was a change in tyre and although I had been through this bend in the wet many times before the situation was different and I spun bad. Scratch and win guys cos your luck can change in an instant. I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to anyone, especially my WA buddies (a number of which have just done some upgrades).
