Hey Guys,

Sorry tried searching for it and no decent info came up.

I have got an air/fuel ratio gauge and a voltmeter in an SS pod, I am not sure if they are mechanical or electrical, (they only have a few short cables coming out of them, im guessing they are electrical). they are the cobalt series.

how hard is it to hook these up? do u know any one in sydney who can easily do these?

thanks guys :stirthepot:

I am not going to tell you how to do it as a AFR gauge needs to be connected to a Pyro sensor that is welded and tapped into the exhaust manifold. the volt gauge can be attached to any + and - in the car, but a direct connection tot he battery is the best.

By the way both gauges are totally useless and will not give you any valid data. I would go and get oil temp or pressure and boost.

thank you for that.

I got these for a good price so I want to use them as well. I am running an N/A XR6 so boost is out of the question but I will get an oil pressure gauge as well.

faygun, I did not want to burst your bubble, but AFR gauges are just disco lights for the dash and will not give you any usable info.

As for the volt meter, this would have to be as useful as an amp gauge.

If you want details on AFR installs search pyro or wideband

I agree with Mx Power - you can piggy back on the factory sensor - no need for a new one.

though - I also agree with Zap- it is about as useful as a disco light - I have one, and ended up adding a switch so that it can be swicthed off most of the time.
