Ok Ill take that all on board. Ill head off and get the typhoon sparkplugs on Monday, the cold air intake and muffler might have to wait. I have to get use to the 8psi tune, and the nankangs might have to go aswell not that there is much left on the back.

Does the edit tighten up the auto aswell? I havent noticed much difference. On full song the boost goes up 2psi on gear change. why is this does anybody know? It did it before the edit aswell.

Its funny the little fellow in the back only gets upset when I stop at the lights. How fast they become like there role models (parents)!!!

OK its just I think im up for new plugs anyway. my car was running rough before the edit and the plugs have done 60000kms. I figured the typhoon ones would be the best for the job and muzza suggested they would be good.

  • No V6 for me thanks!!

2005 and earlier F6 plugs are exactly the same plug as the XR6 Turbo.

Dingah

Hi Dingah,

My ford outlet tried to tell me that untill he looked them up & got both sets on the counter(that was after he had a set of XR8 plugs out to sell me).

here is a good CAI for you Mickey

You can get adjustment on the change points with edit. Nick or someone may be able to advice on other auto mods to tighten up the shifts.

It's a bit of a snow ball affect with a power upgrade one thing seems to affect another.

Muzza.

Ive finally bitten the bullet and bought a CAPA edit. My car is a mk1 auto and on the last dyno day I pulled 200.3rwkw. On the 10 PSI edit how much would I expect at the rear wheels with the car nearly stock?

I have a K+N filter and the wog cooler installed and am wondering when the custom tune is done what the differences will be between the standard CAPA tunes?

in a custom tune can the boost be adjusted?

I wonder if these questions have been asked before?

MG

Hi mickey gee, are you getting RX Engineering to do your custome tune? I'm in line to get my T done there. Keep us posted with your results!

Dont be Scared little Fella, come into the den, where its warm, and safe, we will look after you.

On spark plugs, up to 10 PIS, regapped stockies will be cool, mach after that I like the Typhoon ones, not alot dearer than the Stockies, but seem to work well.

A big hole in the front of the air box will serve as a second CAI until the $$$ is there to buy a Phoon inlet.

Have fun on the 8 for a while until you feel the need for more, but be warned, I now have over 300rwkw and it feels like a taxi, I drove a stock falcon (barra) the other day, and was sure the hand brake was stuck on, it felt like it was running on 3 cylinders, the power is adictive.
