Received my clutch the other day from extreme clutches in Adelaide.

It has a 1550kg clamping force cusioned button clutch with chromoly flywheel.

Pics below.

Jason (GT-P 390) and I should be putting it in to the car this weekend if everything goes smoothly. Can't wait.

Cheers

Adrian

cool, sounds pretty much the same as I got except I got them to use a chrome-moly centre for more strength. about 1750kg clamp

hmm ok, they mightve added that to their "extra heavy duty kit" now, when I was in the process of getting one I chose the extra heavy duty kit but asked for it to be beefed up more, so he said a custom chrome-moly centre was made and they got an extra 300kg kg's give or take. that was about 9 months ago now.

mine shudders when u ride the clutch but if u hop off it fairly quick its smooth. nowhere near as user friendly as the stocker but it handles what I give it pretty good, I can stab the clutch while cruisin at 70 and light the back end up till about 130  leaves a nice set of weavey's up the street I can tell u :msm:

I have been through 3 of those clutche's. Crappy feel, lots of shudder and they just dont last long enough.

Mind you Adeliade clutch have been good to deal with.

Come on Typhoon, a post like that needs a little bit more info.

Which clutch(es) did you buy?

What sort of power were you running?

How did you treat them I.e. riding to long?

Regards

Adrian

Considering Adrian has a T5 and Typhoon has a T56, and the clutch adrian has just purchased is in fact a new design, I would hazzard a guess that he hasnt actually tried three of those clutches at all. :gooff:

:spoton: Went to pick mine up today and they ordered the wrong bloody one in at coventrys, instead they had a standard clutch kit there :fool: They had the right flywheel though, so I dunno WTF he was thinking when he ordered it off his screen.

I guess that's another 2 weeks til I have a new clutch :spoton:

How much $ :mexicanwave:

$1130 landed in WA.

It went in today, but I'll let Adrian tell that story.

All I can say is I'm glad we did the 5spd before we did my 6spd, because Oh Boy what a difference in weight. We dam sure would have been paying some other sucker to put it in if we knew first. Nearly blew my poopa valve.
