The Premium Brakes were a $3000 option.

An alloy spare in either 17" or 18" was a mandatory extra $350 option to the Premium Brakes.

It made for an expensive but seriously refined, powerful and lightweight braking package.

As noted above, the 16" steel space saver would not fit over the Premium Brakes.

Hello,

Anyways, took my XR6 Turbo (BA original) into the dealership for a service and for them to fix my heating. They have to pull out the dash for that, so that's nice and fortunatly under warrenty.

Anyways, I got a call from them saying that I have to replace my front pads and rotors. I have the Premium Brakes and the quoted price they gave me was $1800 for front rotor and pad change.

My Dec 2004 Mk II with premium brakes @45k service is due for rotor replacement under warranty. I don't flog the car, so I can only assume it's a Friday engineer desgin brake wise..
