If it was mine I would have expected a phone call by now.

That is just :tease: up!

Wrong I know.. but who else is going to take the car to the servo? They always get the apprentices to do the "boring" work... they obviously feel they have to excite themselves somehow - unfortunately in this instance it was at the expense of two VERY mad (I'm sure) F6 owners...

I would hate to be one of those boys right now as I'm sure they are going to get a good hiding... (at least one hopes...)

Cheers,

Ross

Its these type of apprentices who are doing the panel work at the dealer panel shop. I've seen shocking panel/paint work on a brand new car that was a display car in the showroom.

When I bought my last car I added to the contract that the car must have original panel and paint from the factory and no repair work post factory.

I dont trust those pankers

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that the person in question would not be required to accept a damaged vehicle even if it was repaired.

The agreement/contract is that the dealership are to provide a new vehicle, that it be undamaged/not-subject-to-repair goes without saying.  The ball is in this guy's court.  He might be able to bargain said vehicle off this dealership for a 10-20k discount perhaps if he still wants it.  I would demand to see the vehicle straight away to determine if the damage is superficial or serious.  I'd then also spend 20 minutes looking at the vehicle and offer them 15k less for it.

No not quite.

Australian trade practices allow a 'new' car to be damaged, for example perhaps backing it off the transporter, and up to 4 entire panels can be repaired or replaced without having to inform the buyer. :crybaby:

Why do you think most dealers also own a panel shop?

4 panels is a lot of damage.. :smilielol:

Tell them you want out or you'll go to Today Tonight, TT are always looking to crucify some person or business. Then go to Titans. They don't allow apprentices to drive any FPVs. What a bloody joke. 2 cars damaged, and I suppose they wern't racing. BOTH SHOULD BE FLOGGED IN PUBLIC :tease:

The guy involved has had every conceivable option added to the car free and had the price discount substancially as well as free servicing for the waranty period..question is would you let them service your car....???

He said they offered to pick up and deliver the car each time it requires servicing....you can probably guess what he told them to do with that offer....

would have loved to been there when the manager had to tell the guy what had happened..he's about 7 freaking feet tall and massive.... :smilielol:

they shouldnt have been driving them anyways, Titans are so strict on who drives FPV's, Even the guy who washes the cars (been there for 5 years) isnt allowed to drive the FPV's out of the yard, Only senior members drive them, and that's the way it should be. Me .. I wouldnt take the car.

I refused a G220 Fairlane from the same dealership when they tried to deliver it damaged. They had no drama's with me refusing the sale, the dealer principle and the salesman were horrified at the condition they tried to deliver it to me in.

I was real impressed with the hassle free service that I went back after getting purchasing the substitute statesman to buy my GT-P.

It also got severely damaged during the delivery process but it wasn't the dealers fault. It rolled off the transporter at FPV onto its roof. Oops.

Hence they made me a new one.

Refuse the car and order another one. If they give you any trouble I'm $440/hr.
