I bumped into Joe(XRSEX) and he gave me some octane booster on suspicion the car was runnign lean. We only put half the bottle in as the fuel was low, but it made no difference. As soon as the night ended, I went straight out and filled the tank full. Had a few WOT's on the motorway and it didn't seem to be doing the surge/studder. I wanted to do a uey and go for another run down the strip. I take it the car felt much stronger with plenty of fuel in it, in which case why don't you give it another run before playing with the tune further? Eugene Member 670 Member For: 20y 3m 24d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle NSW Posted 15/06/06 10:42 AM Share Posted 15/06/06 10:42 AM any less than 1/2 tank and mine does the surge thing, it aint the tune mate only way to run with less than half without surging is get a surge tank .←Hi Chop, I was going to mention your drama with low fuel, your phone calls telling me its "overboosting", "it dies mid track", "why", then you told him.I know your a tight *beep* rob, but these things wont run on O2 alone, they need some fuel too, and given the crap design of the surge tank/swirl pot on the falcon, that means at least half a tank.Or a surge tank and a Bosch 044 pump mounted up in the engine bay, being fed by a walbro GSS341 in tank, the beuty of that set-up is you can run with under 5 liters in the tank and have no Drama, ask Geea, its his set-up now, or he may have goon to the next size Bosch pump after the Green fuel incedent.I doubt its your Tuner, whoever that is, but as a kick in the nuts, my UTE which is 100kg heavier, with only 253rwkw of Eugene tuned xede power, stock exhaust, Stock cooler, tock tyres, Stock auto, ran a 12.89 @ 111.9 mph Give me/us a few weeks to learn this software, and rip up to RX again, we now have edit software, and datalogger, we will get you moving, with some real HP, not that piss weak Sydney HP.
