Had my T run on the dyno just to see what factory output was compared to running 8psi generic tune. (dyno charts below).

With the 8psi (227rwkw's), it is starting to run a bit lean up top. This is obvious even to me.

I have been told that this is as good as it will get. They say that it is turning lean due to the injectors can't cope. Sounded feasable, but than I told them about a freinds car that has been custom tuned @ Intune Syd with 256rwkw's. Their reply was "it's a bomb waiting to explode".

I am going to get it custom tuned and what I want is the maximum output without any mods.

What in your opinions would be a safe and acievable rwkw's without mods from a custom tune?

Bomb waiting to explode??

I'm running my power with stock injectors, I think if it was going to explode it would have done so already. Yeah a custom tune and some injectors will help you, but the 10psi tune should still get you some reliable power on ultimate98.

Thanks XXXR6T, what I need to hear is advise/imput from people like yourself. :spoton:

From the info I get I will make up my own mind. If I by chance make the wrong decision, that will be my fault!

Thanks RBOKSIC, as I stated "safe" is the way to go. I like many others who own these cars, can't afford them to break!

Thanks again for your input!

Dont be to worried about lean out aslong as you drive it properly with your generic tune, if you drive under moderate load and cruise the ecu will work in closed loop mode and the 02 sensor will provide feedback for your mixtures to be correct. So if you worried about it after a custom tune, dont give it the boot till you get a second opinion if you think there will be a problem after a custom tune.

You should be able to achieve around 245-260 safely with just a custom tune.

The result will greatly depend on who's doing the tuning.

I had mine done at Intune last August and have had small issue with flutter which settled after regapping plugs. No other problems but I intend to have it done soon at another tuner. I have been happy with the tune. 250rwkw's

Dagabond, just like to appolegise for any comments that I wrongly made towards you. It appears that something you wrote (which didn't make sence to me coming from north of the border) was not intended as it was excepted. Again sorry!
