I've tried using a wireless mouse and a wireless trackball, but neither of them will work on the road. Touchscreen is the only way.The only touchscreen overlays I know of at the moment are these - - I-On Systems Website- Digital Worldwide WebsiteIt can wait for a while though, I have thousands of songs so all I do is start it playing before I drive off and let it goPanda

If you want a powerful, fast carputer with huge storage and all the extras (wireless internet / 5.1 Sound / TV Tuner / Touchscreen / Multiple Monitors / Multiple sound systems / GPS / OBDII) then it will cost you more than a carputer that only plays MP3's.In my opinion though, I wouldn't build a carputer just to listen to MP3's.and who can do it?I started reading about this whole carputer thing about a year and a half ago - before I had bought the BF!!I read about a million posts, and made about 2 million posts and learned. I wasn't sure about some things so I asked and researched and tried. To answer your question "who can do it" - you can if you want to.Panda

And if you were running dvd's or windows media player would this then interface with an IR remote?just a thought that's all...

And if you were running dvd's or windows media player would this then interface with an IR remote?I believe the factory one is only an InfraRed Receiver, so I have built an InfraRed Transmitter / Receiver.Since doing that though, I have found a pre-built InfraRed Transmitter / Receiver from here which would be a whole lot easier, and would do what you suggest. It would not function as a mouse though.Panda Edited 20/07/06 12:58 AM by Panda
