Here is a better solution..

1/ change your alternator to a generator (you can get one off an old grey massey furgenson)

2/ Start the car

3/ Once the car is running, disconnect the battery and drive around.

4/ hopefully based on the fact that the battery has not been connec ted, you should not only have not used any fuel but should now have more fuel....

Simple really...

Of course :laughing::spoton: why didnt I think of that?

You car must be running very rich, I would get sensors checked like o2 and MAP, something is telling the PCM to inject more fuel for some reason. Might help you to diagnose this by putting it on the dyno for a power run and see what your AFRs are like, you will also find you will be down on power. That sort of fuel economy should not be tolerated.

thanks for the replies guys. xxxr6t that's a really good idea. ill get it on a dyno as soon as I can, I was thinking the same, that the car is injecting to much fuel. :S
