Hehe - had you going for a while though eh?

Seriously... as you have an auto... it might reset the learning part of the computer for a little bit - making the car learn as you are driving slower - and using less fuel (computer will change up gears earlier etc).

But.. if you drive like normal.. it will go back to the same consumption before long.

The computer has a score type system eg complete thash 100, gentle nanna - 0. The default might be a 40 or something like that. Based on this score - it determines how to shift.

In all reality - did you buy the car to save fuel?? I drive my car with a bit of gas - cause it is fun!

PS - in reality - I use more fuel in stop-start traffic, than a clearer road giving the car a tickle along.

I do actually get 500k out of most tanks (around 62 litres). That is a mix of 100k and stop start - avreage speed ends up about 50 - 60km.

So... I definately think you need a tune up - something cant be right using as much as you do. I drive the car reaonably hard, or going slower - and doesnt make a huge difference.

Get yourself an edit, and have one of the tunes an economy tune. Some of the tunes (eg Wogs) I have heard are more economical - even when producing more power than standard. (though in all truth - how much fuel would you have to save to pay for the edit). Get it for fun as well.

That would be good for fuel, brakes, power steering pumps, but bad for bumpers, bonnets, foreheads.....
