I would like your opinions on what would be The XR6T's competitor because when you really think about it the supercharged commadore six is hardly a match and that only leaves us with the SS which has similar performance figures but its pricing would make it more of a XR8 competitor. and we all know that the XR8 will eat it alive. I guess when you think about it the closest thing to our turbo would be a wrx but its way smaller.

The N/A XR6 competes with the Expensive Daewoo Supercharged 6.

The XR6T competes with the SS, even though it will beat all 260kw HSV's in performance, price and features.

The XR8 will compete with HSV Clubsport.

The GT will compete with the HSV Clubsport R8 and maybe the GTS.

The GT-P will compete with the HSV Senator.

I read in Motor that Ford are thinking of bringing out a XR8 Jnr to compete with the Expensive Daewoo SV8. This will have the 220kw engine that is an option on the Falcon range.

I would have to agree with DZ we dont really have one yet. I think we will have to wait till the new VY II to come out with the new V6. I hear they will be turbo charging it. copycats.

I stand corrected. :P B)

I thought the same thing, but I was talking to Tony during the Sydney Motorshow and he said that GT-P is going to target the R8, which I found a little strage considering Ford won't have a Senator competitor. Then again, a Senator competitor is not all that important anyway considering the volume of cars sold in this particular segment. I think HSV sells more Clubbies than anything else.

As for the XR6T competitor, I think they're aiming at the SS. The XR8 is going to be in a class of its own by the looks of it.
