:spoton:

Sorry I shouldn't laugh, but you've definately got it down pat now.

It could have been more fun, you know, like smoke and flames and stuff with the T giving it's all to defeat a HSV..but nup.

It died with a wimper.

never mind, god love the extended warranty.

The service manager is going to sh1t when he sees me.

do u ever check oil in your car? 4 turbos..........................................

I fink you will find its because he lives in the NT and drives as any sane person would given the chance.

Because the OHS nancy's do not permit Ford employees to drive at more than 120Km/h on public roads (remember reading that whilest testing a GT in the NT they were overtaken by a grandpa in a Camry....towing a trailer) :spoton:

As a result they are only tested at speed on the proving ground in Vic, so are not designed to be driven at high speed for hours in the NT's heat.

At least that's what I remember reading somewhere on this place.

But he's taken it easier on his last turbo. I know it's under warranty, but are they worth a pop?

well,

I honestly have no idea why they keep dying.

I swear to god I haven't flogged this one, lots of guys here MUST give thier cars a harder time than me. I've only added 7,000k's since the last turbo.

Been out and had a good look, the o-ring or the water line to the turbo has leaked again.....not sure which, but perhaps this caused it? Garret say no, but it's twice the failed turbo's have occured and I've noticed coolant stains on the A/C compresor.

After four turbos surely it must be time for ford to check the oil supply pressure to the turbo...? gotta be something like a kinked/block feed line for it to fail that quickly...?

good luck with it mate... :spoton:

Cheers mate,

But had enough of it.

Someone else can have the T after it's fixed.

I want out.

EDIT:....Shiraz inspired spelling...

........Sixfan, mines made that "coffe grinder" noise when cold almost all it's life!! (now 60000km's)

I got told that's normal! :spoton: ...........goes away as it warms up though.

It is normal. If your car is cold and you start it then turn it off of course you are going to here the bearings on the turbo. I bet that everyones car does it.

Ford service have probably said theyve changed it out, but in likelyhood havent.

Mark the turbo.. see if they actually do change it out.

Never heard it before, it was pretty loud...

hope you're right...but It sounds a lot like it did last time just before it died completely.

it can go in anyways if they say "within spec, don't worry" atleast I'll have something on paper.

If only it was a five minute job to fit them though - got me f*cked how you've handled all the sh*t for so long.

Got a couple of other cars to use as daily drivers so it's no biggie.

Nothing I can do about it, I I thump someone they'kll just use it as an excuse not to fix my car...tempting as it may be.

Commiserations comrade..You have been getting the rough end of a pointy stick...

Not some bunch of eco-terrorist dropping valve grinding paste into your oil because of how you have wreaked havoc upon the three horned swamp wallaby?

Lumpy :spoton:
