So a couple of weeks ago, I took my car in for some warranty work, seat fixed and headlights fixed and windscreen whistling/leaking fixed...

Got it all fixed... while I was there I also mentioned the whole, my car takes ages to engage reverse and when it does it cluncks in issue... and they said that they would have a look at it...

got most of the work done and they checked the transmission but said that was normal (no surprise there), but they did say that they would "ring their guys in Melbourne" and ask them...

Anyways a couple of days after that they rang me again and asked me to bring the car in cause they had spoken to melbourne and they wanted to check somethings with the transmission...

they rang me back that afternoon and said "we couldnt really fault it (again no surprise), but we have decided that we will swap it over for you under warranty. (that's THE BIG SURPRISE)...

So they rang me this morning and said new transmission is in and car is booked for early next week to get it swapped over... :spoton:

however a couple of days ago I realised that the windscreen whistling/leaking didnt get fixed at all... I am thinking that they didnt even touch it , but I only just noticed it again once it rained... :tease:

So I am in two minds... about it... they are giving me a new transmission...

but they didnt fix the thing I went in there for in the first place... :fool:

so I am thinking that I might get transmission and maybe go to another dealer to see if I can get the windscreen fixed properly...

but I am happy about new transmission... jealous? :nyaah:

The transmission is a great result, have read so many times about how Ford think quality issues with regard to the transmissions are within allowed tolerances...

But the windscreen? Where does it leak from?

The windscreen whistles when travelling at over 70 km/h (just like a whistle that you hear when the windows are slightly open, from this forum I found out that it was a common thing in the BA, where the windscreen wasnt put on properly... It seems like it come from right on the corner of the drivers side.. I could be wrong..

but the guy that I took it to, came for a drive with me and heard it around the same corner...

IT doesnt gush out.. when it was raining hard here a couple of days ago, I was driving and felt this little tiny drop hit my hand when it was on steering wheel, all windows were closed, so I can only assume that it was from windscreen...

So what do you do? put a big X on it so they know that you know?

Sounds like they know something about the box but don't want to tell you... good that they are swapping it for you, it might be close to going bang.
