Moving brackets no problem. I've looked at all the ones talked about on the forums but none seem to fit the bill? Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/26016-intercooler-with-no-cutting-involved/ Share on other sites

The below pic shows the charge row from a PWR unit on the bottom and on top is a section of a bar & plate core. Notice the PWR part is extruded. The is no deviation to the air flow...all of the fins are unbroken and in a straight line so the air doesnt have to do any "work' to get through the core. The result is poor efficiency. They do show minimal pressure drop but that is because there is no resistance to the airflow. The bar & plate section on the other hand has offset fins. This causes the air flow to deviate on its path through the core...more heat exchange happens and the result is lower charge air temps and more power. Many times I have back to back tested a PWR core against an exact same sized bar & plate and the B&P better results every time.Kevin Edited 07/06/06 11:30 AM by Process West Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/26016-intercooler-with-no-cutting-involved/#findComment-391757 Share on other sites
