nope never owned a holden, considered a clubby and would have got one if it was comparable to a Phoon hehe

Been a Nissan Ho my whole life pretty much;

1.) 94 SSS pulsar

2.) 80-something R31 Skyline with 'holden' 3litre

3.) GQ II 4.2i Patrol

4.) GU III Patrol 4.8l

5.) 04 350z Track

6.) 05 F6 silhouette manual, best by far !!

I was always a Expensive Daewoo man.

VB SLE 253 - Sounded Great - Went Pox.

VL Wagon - Great Car

VN Sedan - Went better than the VL

VS Sedan (actually POS Lexan) - Ordinary

Magna of some description - Just as ordinary

AU III Sedan - Ordinary, and with less grunt than the Magna (but at least RWD)

Swore the next would be a VY Commy, but then hired a BA XT, very impressed indeed with Engine and Tranny.

Made fatal mistake of then test driving a Turbo (Could'nt resist).

Made mind up there and then that next car was to be a T.

The T is/was The Best Car I've ever owned - period.

Now in a BA Futura - sh*ts all over the Opposition.

Converted from VX Berlina Wagon - Gen III 5.7 V8 after I saw the Typhoon 'Prototype' at the Melbourne Motor Show in early 2005.

Ordered the Typhoon in July '05 without even seeing one again, let alone sitting in one - not even an XR6T.

Prototype was Lightining Strike - and after I saw it I had to buy the same.

Picked up the Phoon on the 3rd December 2005 - Haven't looked back :spoton: .

(My wife now drives the Berlina Wagon - but I think she secretly wants a turbo too!!!)

PS - Saw a Bionic Phoon with ZF Box with the 19 inch wheels at the dealers the other day - Absolutely Stunning!!

Hmmmm .... I wonder if the wife would like a nice Lightning Strike Phoon???

Well I've had a few cars:

1978 - 1965 XP Falcon sedan (first car, cost $500, I was the Third owner - mint)

1980 - 1973 Toyota Celica (cost $3,800 owed me $12,000 when I sold it)

1985 - 1980 VC Commodore (cost $5,900 family car - mags and tinted windows)

1986 - 1978 Statesman Deville (cost $6,900 attempt at luxury - piece of :nyyaah: )

1987 - 1972 LJ "Bathurst" XU1 Torana (cost $3,300 race car with rego, 14.1-400m)

1988 - 1964 EH Expensive Daewoo Premier sedan (full restoration and mods cost $6,500)

1988 - 1979 XD/XF Falcon conversion (cost $4,600, owed me $14,000 when stolen)

1990 - 1974 Mazda RX2 sedan bridge port (cost $1,750 - went like a rocket)

1991 - 1986 VL Berlina Formula (cost $12,200 - beautiful car, second owner)

1991 - 1973 Toyota Celica (cost $750 resto and twin cam conversion owed $3,500)

1992 - 1986 VL Turbo (ex Highway pursuit cost $11,700 - reasonably quick)

1992 - 1974 Mazda RX4 13B auto sedan with Air-con (cost $1,500 - third owner)

1993 - 1979 Mazda RX7 Series 1 (cost $5,500 - nice car and the girls loved it)

1993 - 1983 Suzuki GSX750ESD (cost $2,700 - nice bike very fast 12.2 - 400m)

1994 - 1986 Mazda RX7 Series 4 (cost $16,500 - third owner, imaculate cond)

1996 - 1994 VR Series 11 wagon (first company car - cost $25,000 - some mods)

1998 - 1996 VS Series 11 wagon (as above - cost $21,500 same mods, mags etc)

2000 - 2000 VT Series 11 wagon (first new car - cost $39,900 same mods above)

2003 - 2003 BA XR6 Turbo in Phantom (cost $49,900 - easily best car to date)

2006 - 2005 BF F6 Typhoon (cost $59,064 - best car I've ever owned)

Mixed in amongst these cars are the cars that I bought just to do up and make money from to keep on doing up my own cars. I reckon if I hadn't have had so many cars I'd probably be a real estate tycoon, but where's the fun in that.

I don't regret it, I've had a ball and I refuse to drive an ordinary car. Hell even my Sales Managers Corolla Wagon's got Mags and King Springs.

As for for loyalties I just like a good car no matter what the badge says. At the moment the Falcons have the wood on Commodore, but I think the VE is going to be a bit special and will require Ford to lift it's game to match it.

Big AL

PS Sorry for the long post but I did say that I've had a few cars. LOL

I have owned over 70 cars so I tend buy what I like at the time. But the cars previous to my T in the last year have been a VY Series III Monaro and a VY series II SS. I would have kept the Monaro except practicality was just not its finer point so I drove the VZ SS and the T. Well no points for knowing which was the better car.
