I certainly consider the XR6T a Ford Performance Vehicle and don't really care for badges at all. If it was to wear FPV badges it would probably cost more so I'm voting No.

Clean = Class!

Nope, it's not an FPV car although it was developed by FPV (turbo engine, suspension, etc).

I don't think it should wear the FPV badge because I know how much crap has having Tickford badges on XRs caused in past. We (Ford fans) were copping crap from Expensive Daewoo drivers because XR6s and XR8s were built by Tickford which they saw as equivalent to HSV.

Also, people started referring to Tickford as a stand-alone manufacturer which it was never intended to be. Nowadays, they are all Fords, and I hope that's what they'll remain.

The only way I'd have an FPV badge on my car is if I bought a GT/GT-P. The XR6T has more than enough eye catching power on its own. How many people will slow down just to peek if the magic

T U R B O badge is on the back?

Maybe I'll put a couple of Super roo stickers on the front :rolleyes:

I agree totally that the "clean" look of the vehicle is a huge factor in the appeal of an XR6. This is where HSV have gone bananas with the Y series. HSV's are meant to stand out but the body kit the guys in Clayton have gone with is far too overt. It's bordering on tacky and I feel they have lost that "integrated package" look. This isn't anti-HSV either because let's not forget that their boldness with performance has had a fair bit of influence on Ford. Aren't we lucky. :) Prior to the BA, I doubt we've ever had such a fantastic combination of flair and class in any performance model.

Hey Superoo,

You are right about the Y series HSV cars, they are pig ugly. Class and HSV....hmmmm, like a rat with a gold tooth, they dont belong.

But l think the biggest HSV sin is what they have done to the Monaro. It is a beatiful car, all smooth and curvy, and HSV go and stick all these angular bits and peices all over it, and a set of wheels from the Lygon st set, and bingo, it just looks garish. No wonder l have read articles by several jurnos where they say Expensive Daewoo is starting to become dissatisfied with HSV's efforts.

I agree with Mondie on this one. Anyway, there's a chance that FPV will bring out their own Turbo 6....
