Front door naked

How to make a round speaker oval...

I used the screws provided to go into the MDF at the top and bottom, and used those 10Ga 20mm sheet metal screws to go through to the metal of the door, to make a nice secure fit. In hindsight I should have got countersunk screws to hold the MDF to the door, but it worked out fine with some double sided sticky foam tape to make a seal.

I still have the RH door to do, but time for some food! :spoton:

MAte if you seal up around those 6s they'll have HEAPS more bass, but it requires the use of silicon and lots of bog and crap but works wonders.

If you have leaks around the edge of the driver you get phaze cancelation at certain frequencies which dramatically effects the the sound

Look good though

Cheers, I didnt think of using silicone, the foam in the door provided a seal between MDF and metal, and the sticky foam I used between the MDF and speaker. It's not perfect but I might give the silicone a go if I'm not happy with it :spoton:

Didn't have to...

The wires run behind the head unit under the ICC and you can reach them under the glove box. Pulling the ICC out is literally a 1 minute job anyway :nono:
