Is venting the BOV and blocking it the same? It seems these two terms have been used alot, but I don't really know if they're the same. With regarding to my Kompact SS BOV, the fitting guys did block the exhaust hose as my BOV doesn't have this hose. I am not sure about the venting but my BOV still produce the flutter sound (and it very small, very similar to the stock one without being blocked) and I set my BOV to soft as well.

Just a question guys. Just tool delivery of a duelport and wanted to know what in your opinion is the best set up for these?

Harder? Softer? in the middle? My f6 is stock at the moment

To be perfectly honest mate, I've tried hard, I've tried soft and I've tried somewhere in the middle and I'm stuffed if I can hear any difference.

I just have it one turn back from full hard all the time.

I found the biggest difference was at either end of the spectrum. Full hard had a short burst and full soft had a longer, drawn out sound...

To late, I've already swapped it around.

I had the Turbosmart Dual Port Kompact BOV but had it set up for plumb back only.

Basically the end with the adjuster on it needs to be facing the firewall. If it's pointing towards the inlet manifold then you've got it wrong.
