Even though I start work again tomorrow after being on holidays for 2 weeks I'm gonna try and stay up as long as I can to watch the game...

Anyone else?

Come on the Socceroos!!!

1 all draw. Good result for Australia considering we were 1 man down after half time.

It was a terrific result for Australia, in the first half I think we were a little starstruck, missing easy passes, making silly errors, but the Dutch team was putting on the pressure right from the get go...

And to then go a man down with 30mins to go and keep the game tied was a supreme effort, it looks like Schwarzer really earned his keep in goal as well, probably exactly what Kalic didn't want to see but I bet (Aussie) Guus was over the moon with his work, a couple of huge saves... against one of the best attacks in the world.

It was a great result considering, harry didnt play and timmy only played half a game and then we had a man down with half an hour to go...

but we were outclassed... we were really in the game cause Swarzer played the game of his life...

this game was good, cause it highlighted Australia's weakneses , which Guus should be able to iron out in the next couple of days, also it should give the guys a boost cause even though they were outplayed for most of the game they still got a credible draw.

If I was the other teams in their group I would be a bit worried knowing that one of the teams I was playing just drew with one of the Tournaments favourites with only ten men... :stirthepot:

GO THE SOCCEROOS!!! :spoton:

You are right there chipa... The Dutch just seemed to have so much more time when they had the ball to make a decision, I think we were rushing and forcing the ball forward, taking the first option regardless of whether it was a good option or not, and our passing was atrocious, whereas the Dutch were much more inclined to hold the ball up and look for better options... we really miss Kewell down the left, as he is just so creative and we looked as though we lacked creativity from the midfield...

It will certainly make some of the other nations stand up and take a bit of notice...
