Firstly Welcome to the nut house Doug!

The earlier BA's had issues with the belts and also the bearings in the water pumps - make sure this has been looked at - having said that I would expect the noise to be more engine speed rather than road speed related If it was either of these.

Under load you can get some aeration in the power steering fluid which can make the power steering pump noisier, without it being faulty...

Try changing gears when at that speed to see if you can eliminate the transimission from the equation, otherwise if it is just road speed, that would tend to suggest something behind the gb.

As for mods, you have already taken the first step in getting the capa ford flash. The next step should be injectors, valve springs, and trans cooler - you will need a custom tune with the injectors which is definitely recommended in anycase.

You should beable to acheive 250+rwkw with these mods - typically a little more (265 - 275)

The stock exhaust is actually pretty good, with the main restriction the cat - if you want to save some cash, then leave it or get the cat only replaced. I have the APS system on my car and it is a great exhaut if you went that way, but not absolutely necessary unless you start doing up the engine.

If you are going to replace the intercooler, I would go something bigger than the F6 cooler. Dependant on your budget, consider the Nizpro stage 2 cobra it, prior to making a decision on which intercooler. This is considerably more expensive than a just getting an IC, but if you wanted to go this way (and it is a great kit) down the track then a direct replacement IC would not be retained.

Much more than a custom tune and injectors, and you really should be looking at the transmission. I would be inclinded to rebuild you trans before spending money on an exhaust, but some of the auto boys might shed some more light on this!

I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from your new car! :spoton:

Cheers,

Ben.
