The thing is their economy is strong enough how do we hurt their wallet? Also, as far as quality goes... how do we NOT buy japanese??

But yeah I strongly disagree with their practise

I would challenge you to name a product where there is no equivalent to any japanese product (except whale meat!)

I think whaling is abhorrent. :fool:

I liked Chris and Craig from Today today guys phone prank to the Japanese embassy or high commission asking for a visa to come to Japan and kill a few Japanese people 'for scientific purposes of course'. :spoton:

Its a disgraceful practice and the World communities should do more to discourage our Asian neighbours from continuing whaling.

Yeh, and save the kangaroo as well. Poor little things. Guys I'm against it ok but dont you think the numbers game has been done by independant people and these are no longer in the extinct state they was were in the 80's. Unfortunately majority still rules and if the vote go's to the Japs, well, they win. Obviously enough people still dont give a f*ck to out vote them. And yes Ive shoot the odd roo, pig,emu and goat but must admit these big f*ckas dont harm anything unlike the above(apart from eating too much fish apparently)No Iam not a member of Greenpeace or a professional protestor like MOST of them.

Guys, one issue which is being overlooked is the following:

Where else in our civilised society would it be acceptable to harpoon an animal, drag it behind a vehicle for up to 20 minutes, before finally making a successful kill - NOWHERE :glad:

WSPCA and other scientists have stated that there is NO humane way of killing a whale at sea!!!

Everywhere else we strive to be humane in our dealings with animals, so why does this not apply to such gentle creatures as whales?

Imagine the uproar if someone harpooned a cow, then continued to drag it behind a car while shooting at it with a small caliper rifle until it was dead - Acceptable, I don't think so.

Sustainability has very little to do with the debate :spoton:

Agree Nink, very cruel. Must admit if we shot something it usually gets nailed in the brain so nothing like this cruel act.

The Japanese have the best tasting research in the world.... according to them.

Let's give them an alternative to harpooning whales.... how about fat chicks! No damn shortage of them.
