JetStar wont go under...they are expanding the fleet with 787's and going international. The lack of seat allocation and ticket flexibility is typical of a low fare airline...they do it to ensure fast turnaround of the aircraft. Jetstar aims at the leisure travel market (who may travel with 4 people and realise big savings), while QANTAS targets business travellers...Virgin, used to be a true low fare airline however it's now become a hybrid low fare/full service airline...

Virgin and Jetstar have the same prices on the regional routes and usually are scheduled within 5 minutes of each other, so it's a no brainer for me.

Have flown jetstar once but never again.

I have flown OneStar once to Hamilton Island and I would never recommend them.

Their cabin crew are ugly, their seat allocation is pathetic and their planes stink.

I am a very regular flyer and would prefer the Virgin flights anyday.  I just wished that Ansett was still around as I miss my golden wings lounge and free upgrades to business class. :spoton:

that's them f*cked then! :spoton:

That said, the Wog should have felt right @ home :spoton:

I have even heard a few reports that once on the aircraft you can sit anywhere how can this be legal for example if the plane goes down for identitfication purposes

Yep, correct, sit where you like.... However, if the plane goes down, it doesn't really matter where you are sitting. They are going to have to scrape your remaining DNA into a doggie bag and send it to the coroner anyway.

I always try to sit next to the black box flight recorder. Because, when the plane goes down, that is the first thing they go looking for.... and I wanna be damn sure I am next to it so I am the first found :smilielol:

I flew Jetstar last night back from the Gold Coast. Of the three girlies onboard (flight attendants), I would have gladly invited at least two of them to 'polish my rocket' .... so to speak....
