Some use mobile semi synth, some castrol magnatec, others castrol edge for example.On one of the couple times I rang FPV about oil, they said to trust whatever the dealers use "it'll be fine".But yeah, change at 3,000km. So the serious answer...You dont need to change at 3000. Some people think it better to run in a bit more - maybe 10,000. Do not use Synthetic oil until the 15,000 service. If you are driving hard (dragging or circuit racing) then I would do it more - but not just driving to work and back. Oil in a new enging at 3000ks will have metal in it as we know, and this is usually ok inside the engine, but I'm not too keen on running anything less than clean oil through the turbo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
