I know I have a lot of "wasted" power for the 1/4 mile, but that is not what floats my boat.

My BEST 60 foot time of 2.4secs when I ran my 12.3 shows how appallingly slow 355rwkw's and Dunlop SP9000's mix...................if I could muster a 1.8 sec 60foot than 11's we come BUT, then I will end up bloody breaking something for sure and I don't want a trip home on a flatbed especially having more power now.

So, I will just be happy making an unuseable amount of power 'cause that is what makes me smile! :glad:

To see these times though in a manual is pretty darn good. Keep up the good work! :crybaby:

Questions for u Rapid.

I'm not digging, :pooh::crybaby: or anything..

but....

At what point ( rpm or Km ) do you make 300rwkw?

When does your 355rwkw stop on your graph, and start on it's downward slope?

What is your 660' mph

What is your time from 660' to the finish?

I've seen Simon's graph, and it's pretty darn early.

Again, I'm not stirring, I spoke to Simon the day I ran and we have talked about theories to going quickly a fair bit.

My reasoning is that you are about the closest behind me, with Simon!!!

As I mentioned, just because you have 355rwkw, doesn't mean it's wasted per sae. It just means you shouldn't use ALL of it off the line.

Im a little confused that the mph doesnt match the time, for an 11 you would think the mph would be upwards of 120

maybe electonics whether on strips or dyno's can suprise you?

as I have said before if you want a measure of power you go to a dyno if you want a time you go to the strip!!!!

to to many variables otherwise!!!!

with too many variables then its not worth putting your car on a dyno or running the 1/4 mile, what figures do you trust, or is it all a load of s@!t

I'm having this conversation @ FF.com.au at the moment.

Does no-one read my novel??

Should I have run a monster mph, crap ET and say I'm making a megawatt??

Or should I just go out with the correct combination and run an 11??

So far- NO-ONE has got the ET from a manual with the power they make, so what are we basing our mindset on??

Even Simon stated he thought he would run mid 11's and cannot understand his ET. He said the car makes the power, it just didn't cut the ET????

Why did Nizrpo launch at 7000rpm to get it off the line, I launched at 4500 at cut a 1.80!!

It's just too easy to walk in and grab 50kw coz your car is slow.

Maybe people should look at WHY THERE CAR IS SLOW!!!!!

Maybe WE have set the benchmarks??????

power figure's off a non cheatable dyno used correctly

or

those off an engine dyno!!!!

maybe just maybe circuit racing theories work better than drag racing ones!!!!

maybe the use of a good dyno designed for r&d like the mainline dynolog or nizpro's dynologic with average torque and power levels help ingetting a good time and lap?

Good question, and one that the guy in the VYSS was asking too. Why are the XR6T's so slow when they have so much rwhp. He's several GENIII customer's cars running mid/low eleven's (mostly manuals too) with less than 400rwhp.

Although my opinion is if you want to go drag racing buy an auto.
