Now go for the 11.5s top stuff BB←Strange concept.. I know what you mean, but I have driven many tunes in my ute. What does this say about the 12.80's and 12.90's I was running with other guys tunes??Are they mid 13second tunes and utter rubbish???? Pretty easy to lay blame to a bad drive or bad tune. At the end of the day, no-one is even close to this time with the level of modification this car has seen ( or not seen ) as the case may be.. Ever wondered how a 1.8 60' is possible?? Anyone can launch at 4500rpm on MT's ←Hi I said great driving.I dont understand y your having a go at me. I didnt bag eneyone did I .BB

To see these times though in a manual is pretty darn good. Keep up the good work!

Guest newl Guests Posted 01/06/06 09:35 AM Share Posted 01/06/06 09:35 AM I short shifted to 2nd and bogged down ( I was in street tyre mode) Gramps blew my head off and set me straight!!The burnout was pretty good from the stands mate though that shift to second was shocking! I doubt anyone has run a quicker 60ft time than 1.6 in a sedan......the white turbo'd VY SS manual sedan from WA Performance centre last night frequently does 1.5's from memory with slicks/front runners. With more practice (if the clutch holds up) 1.6's should be in order.....you might have to try front runners too.Interesting comments too regarding the rwkw vs. 1/4 mile time comparison. Having come from a car that did 118.12mph @ 12.84 going to a car running 12.5's with less hp (267rwkw vs ~330rwkw) the quicker et is more satisfying and rewarding that the faster mph. Whatever floats your boat however. Edited 01/06/06 10:52 AM by M6 XR6T

Whatever floats your boat however.←If someone is ??stupid?? enough to throw me the keys, I'll happily destroy there car for them.. jk..Personally, trying to get a ute out of the hole is a damn hard effort. Ask any of the guys with power in utes, they will say the same. It's heavy, with stuff all weight over the back axle.Look at my first run of the night, I launched exactly as the week before, same burnout same power, same tyres. It went up in smoke!!. Without the hardcover and tailgate over the back end, it changed how the car behaved completely.I'm lucky, I have the ability to be able to get all the available power to the ground.I mentioned to you before, as with everyone else, I can still light the wogs tune up like a christmas tree if the mood takes me. It's just not a fast way around the place.....I went 2.1 60' on street tyres with the same power I'm running atmo. This is not because it's a ute, it's not because the car lacks grunt, it's because I transfer the power to the ground without just 'mashing' the pedal..As far as ET Vs MPH.............. my take is that if the car is drivable, and enjoyable to drive, it's a good tune. Just don't try and stall it up at the lights when your next to me, you'll loose......
