Geea ... the dyno sheet looks very consistent. Power rising virtually in a straight line to 5000 rpm then drops about 10kw to 6000 rpm.

The reason that I know the auto is struggling is because it flares going into 3rd (hence short shift at about 4500rpm) and based on previous runs at this power level I was getting 116 & 117 mph. The difference on the timeslip is that the car only gets an extra 22MPH compared to 27MPH previously when I had 300 odd rwkw as measured on the same dyno.

I know, excuses, excuses ... I was happy to run a 12.3 with whatever power I had. I will try to run 11s on the Dunlops and then see where I go from there ...

Geeseman, ... what can I say I'm an amature having some fun ...

I don't think it's helpful to make definate statements like that.

Driver skill has a lot to do with the time as well as car setup and track settings.

You should be the last person to comment in a thread about times at the track :spoton::spoton:

What was the 60' and what tyres were you using? 300rwkw's should be running around 120mph.

Geea. :crybaby:

Steve I don't believe you know much about racing, if you did you would have done alot more of it and been much better at it. I was asked my thoughts and I gave them. As per usual you provided a completely useless coment on a subject you know little about.

How many cars with 300rwkw's have you driven down the 1/4, or been involved with driving down the 1/4. I personally have driven 2 and been directly involved in 2 others. I've also followed the 1/4 mile performance very closely since we started racing the "T's". In my experience an auto car with 300rwkw's will get around 120mph over the 1/4. No doubt you know much better than this Steve so please tell me what you think it would get.

My understanding was that if someone directs a question at me I'll try to provide an honest and hopefully helpful response and as we learn more about an individual situation we (the forum as a group) might be able to assist someone with a problem.

Now why don't you piss off and leave the important stuff to the grown-ups. :crybaby:

Geea. :glad:

Good time jp300

Once I get some new rubber I want to give it a go, hopefully I will get a into the 12sec club.

Hey Guys... it was good to catch up with a lot of you last night.

Great atmosphere and I was happy to survive without breaking anything although the auto is on its last legs!

For the record (with a 300 rwkw tune) I ran:

1st run: 12.5 @ 111mph

2nd run: 12.4 @ 112 mph

3rd run: 12.3 @ 112mph .... Geea?

Can't wait for the next one ... I will get Jim@tunehouse to wind it up to what the standard pump will do and hopefully join the 11s club.

See you guys out there next time ...

Geeseman I think if jp300 did a 60foot in the 1.9sec area he has a fair idea on how to get the car off the line..getting off the line id the hardest bit unless you have power in the 300's whr you might b a little skatey off the line..

Geea ... I got to hand it to you ... you are the man. Even though you are a Victorian I completely agree. You have probably had more runs down the quarter in a XR6T than anyone else and you have the numbers on the board. I look forward to catching up for a few beers at the BVW2. I'm going to try and come down there for the fun and games !!

Fr33dy ... I look forward to being there when you run. I will try and pass on my limited experience and hopefully you will break into the nines ...
