Mate 98 RON will help, but it is not going to make an incredible amount of difference. As you are already dissapointed you will be again.

There are plenty of guys on here recommending tuners and they have all had good experiences with them or they would not be recommending them.

My opinion, and I am only giving it cause you kinda asked by comming on here, is, you have spent the money on the flasher, now when you can afford the custom tune do so. Ring around and try talk to different tuners. Though my impression is you are not after incredible power at the mo or you would have had a heap of other mods. Give the guys who are only an hour and a half away and talk to them. By the way I dont know them from a bar of soap, so no hidden agendas.

Good luck mate, I dont have the Edit, but I can see they can make alot of power safely, for relatively little dollars. You have so this is all available to you. Mate enjoy.

Scotty

I agree with what the others have posted above... to get the full benefit of the flash tuner you need a custom tune.  And you shouldn't run the 10psi generic tune without 98RON unleaded in your car.

Is 98RON fuel available where you live?

Good luck with it...

Thanks for the advice , yes 98RON is available 40 mins away, I will be going there tomorrow evening to fill er up. Cant wait for the cruise home :spoton:

Just do yourself a favour a regap the plugs before you go. That way you can upload the 10PSI map for more fun without hiccups. :pinch:

I have been ringing around for 3 days now I think ive called every capa tuner in sydney and some in melb should cost around 400 bucks for a tune and that's 3 tunes in one go.

add some more for extra time if u got mods.

Yeh $400-$500 to get custom tune is the going rate depending on your valve spring situation you should be able to get around the 240rwk mark just by the tune alone.

Generaly speaking though valve springs tend to become an issue on most cars when boosting over 10psi.

So you might also need to allow $700-$800 to get them installed if your planning on going over 10psi but this really depends on the individual car...

Sometimes you just have to bight the bullet to get things done right

ITS WORTH THE MONEY TO GET IT CUSTOM TUNED

I'm also from Bathurst - and been making enquiries about getting a decent custom tune.  Guys in Bathurst that are into motor-sport recommend AutoTech at Granville. I plan to go there myself.

Cheers

Chris

Or your dive another 20 minutes and go to Jim at Tunehouse.
