Hi all, I'm new in here and just got a MKII turbo that I want to debadge. How hard is it to get the badges off? Are there gonna be holes left that I'm gonna need to patch up like I had to on my EF?

It's easy, they are only stickers. Start it off with your finger nails, then get it going with some fishing line, then they can simply be peeled off. Just have to use some metho or something similar to remove the sticky stuff that's left behind.

Fishing line in a sawing action will get them off real quick.

Do not however remove the Ford badge as it is in a recess and will look crappy.

Hey all, I've debadged the car, I also bought black turbo badges to replace the red one. What position to you think I should place the new black badge on the rear of the car? Stock position, or near the Ford badge, or...?

counting from top down, id go with 2 or 5. 2 looks factory, 5 looks like it should say falcon (I think the AU's had it there, I might be wrong), but it says turbo. yeah, go for 5. as for the ones around the badge.....no.

Cheers fellas, and good answer Aaron :). See I like the idea of symmetry, but the Ford badge has no room around it so it ends up looking squashed in/busy. Dean did the spaced out T U R B O on the garnish area I think so I'm stealing his idea here. I'll drive with no badges for a little while yet while I decide.

I've got a spare set of front and back Ford badges which I'm going to attempt to recolour... can buy pre done ones but they are highway robbery prices.
