The problem will be when you go to use it.Before you can down load the tunes in the box you must upload the tune that's been loaded from the factory. This is when the box becomes vin locked to that vehicle. To be able to use the other tune you would have to have then have the box reset. I would assume that that would mean clearing the original factory upload. The process would be the same when you use it on the other car which means that it would then be vin locked to that car.Remember you can only have it cleared 5 times before it must be sent back to SCT.I suppose it would be a cheap way of custom tuning 2 cars, provided you intended only use those tunes all the time.Could get very messy though if Ford decide to reflash both cars with an update thoughHope that makes some sense. RAPHOON Donating Members 1,776 Member For: 21y 10m 3d Posted 01/06/06 11:40 PM Share Posted 01/06/06 11:40 PM If it has been used once, it is locked to the VIN of the car it has been used on, and it's this car's factory tune stored in the F slot.The tuner who loads in the turbo tunes will be able to clear the F slot for you at the same time as he loads in the new tunes into slots 1,2 & 3. Once you use it on your car, it will first load your factory tune into slot F. The box will then be locked into your car.
