Theres a Silver Mark I XR6 Turbo running around Springwood with Gas Stickers on the plates, so I guess it can be done.

Car has the 18 inch rims, I looked twice when I seen the Gas sticker and ive seen it a few times now, personally if I was going to run a car on gas it would be a sh*tter XT, nice cars and smelly gas dont go to well together. :spoton:

These guys were going to give it a go if you gave em your car and a big wad of cash GIT

But the last I recall reading was that it just aint gonna happen with the turbo, would be nice if they could, higher octane and half the cost but it think theres a problem with gas delivery / boost changes etc.

ive spoken to the folkes at gas inject technologies, now the problem with the xr6 turbo is that there injectors aint big enough, there regualtor will supply 400hp worth of fuel but injectors only 47hp each injector, do the maths over 6 cyl and it aint enough, until they get funding to build bigger injectors I was told only way that it could be done is that you would need to run an additional 6 injectors on the plenum, fabricate a rail for it, and run an aftermarket ecu to control it sending the cost through the roof to save a few bucks on petrol it wont be financially viable to convert at this point in time. hope this helps

I think they are pulling your leg mate - for a start LPG DOES NOT enter through the fuel injectors (although there are some systems on trial that use this method they are not available as yet) - it is fed into the inlet tract separately and there is no reason whatsoever why it can't be done to an XR6T.

I have had LPG on my turbo ZL for many years - the only issue with mine is that the LPG system wasn't originally designed for a 400hp motor and therefore it won't flow enough gas when I'm on any more than 5 psi boost. Over that level I have separate petrol injection to provide the extra fuel needed in a manner similar to what you described.
