Too small (I.e. Bridgestone S03) and the tyres will turn buttery very quickly, too big and the tyres will be required to warm up a bit more before they get to their optimum traction levels.AA Traction is the highest you can go, A Traction is next. I've never seen a performance tyre with B or C....You need to find a good comprimise between treadwear and traction rating. An AA Traction rated tyre with a hard compound will not be as good as a AA Traction rated tyre with a mid range compound. Same goes for soft compound tyres. For the Falcon, being a heavy car I'd say somewhere between 210 and 250 treadwear will give you best results. The following US site gives a bit more info, and has ratings for most tyres sold in the US, some of which are also sold here:http://www.safercar.gov/tires/pages/TireRatings.cfmHowever, you will not find the Preceda on there as it's not sold in the US. Chris xr6 Member 376 Member For: 20y 10m 8d Location: Shire Posted 20/06/06 12:30 PM Share Posted 20/06/06 12:30 PM Just an update guys these pp2's are ten different kinds of awesome compared to the standard Dunlop’s! Highly recommend them quieter, more grip and far more surefooted in the corners. Initially they feel like they turn in less than the Dunlop’s but they just hold their line so much better!AAAAAAA+++++++++ great tire
