Make sure they replace the spare with a new MKII mag. Dont take anything less. In my opinion its the least that they could do.

They stuffed up and word of mouth (around here anyway) spreads pretty fast

What about putting the name of the dealership up so everyone knows

to stay away from the pr..Ks or at least make sure you go over the car and check everything and I mean everything.sounds like they dont give a rats ass even when you complain

Well I have been over the car pretty extensively now and there is nothing else I can see to be missing. But im no mechanic! So hopefully when it goes in for its first service there arent any hidden nasties. But as I said the car has been running sweet, its just the missing things that has p!$$ed me off.

At the moment the dealership has not said they will replace anything (despite my best efforts), but ringing Ford service line sounds like a great idea which I hadnt thought of.

Im happy to put the name up, I just wasnt sure if that was allowed or not, or if id be stepping on some toes.

Cheers for the feedback anyways guys

See if you can talk to the owner / Managing Director of the dealership, and explain what happened to you.... then, I would DEMAND :

1) the send you all the missing items at their cost Immediately

2) pay for all towing costs you incurred.

If you do not get a good response, simply mention you will be calling Ford HQ to make a formal complaint.....

HOUND THE BASTARDS.................. until you get what SHOULD/MUST be supplied with your car....

Good Luck.....

And yes I do know where the jack is kept :spoton:

Cheers guys

Hey mate,

Gee-zuss I'd be pissed off to, but there is a resolve especially since you have disclosed the actual name of the dealership.

Call this number 02 93328115, this will put you through to the Sales Manager of City Ford 'Crown Street'. The gentleman who answers goes by the name of Steve Gleeson, top bloke and prior to stepping into the Sales Manager role was senior sales executive at Rockdale.

He is very customer orientated, he'd be more than happy to hear of such a woeful tale thanks to Rockdale.

Upon delivery of the vehicle, did the sales executive conduct a vehicle delivery checklist? which you had to sign for and is actually a legally binding document.

Darren

note: City Ford, Rockdale and Chullora, used to both be controlled and managed by City Ford Crown Street. Even though Rockdale has now since elected become an individual entity, they will trade under the City Ford banner until they elect their own name, but their management is seperate now.

The Rockdale dealership used to be under the control of the

Now as part of having my rego changed over from  NSW to QLD I needed a roadworthy certificate done. Now correct me if im wrong (honestly im not sure) but I thought they had to check that as part of a roadworthy examination. I had 2 roadworthy certificates done here in Townsville, and surely they had one done in Sydney to sell me the car to me in the first place. So 3 roadworthy's have missed it.

in victoria the rule with RWC is that if the spare is present it must be in a roadworthy state and if there is no spare there it still passes they just make a note on your copy of the certificate that it was missing

I've seen that the growing trend here in WA is that you have to pay extra for the lock nut. For those here that're curious, hit Titans and look at the nice little notice stickers on the vehicle.

That being said, my F6 didn't come with the lock nut, manual, or logs, all of which (yet to have the locks swapped) have been sorted by the dealer at no additional cost to me.

My previous XR6T didn't come with a set of spare keys, dealer organized the remote and key cutting, I paid for the key (a compromise).

I would have to agree with the others though, your car should have come with the jack and other bits. Hopefully your dealer steps up and takes ownership of the problem and sorts it out.
