Also Ive read the threads with peoples cars making a fluttering sound in the manuals.... Do the autos make this fluttering sound as well??

But mainly concerned with reading about loose turbo and manifold bolts, dodgy discs as well.. Ive had my rex for over 10 years without any dramas and dont wanna be caught out buying a headache that ends up like an episode from the money pit..

Any mass produced product will have 1 or 2 slip through the system. We also don't know the full story on those cars.

I personally have owned 2 XR6T's and I'm still smiling over 3 years latter. Most of the guys I know that own them are very satisfied with their purchases.

Take one for a test drive if you like it buy it, if you don't like it buy something else.

I have had no problems with the turbo at all. Ive never had a a turbo pipe come off.

If you are worried about brakes im led to believe that you get better brakes standard with BF XR6T's.

If you are looking at BA try and pick up one with the brake upgrade

All in all I love my car. Goes well drives well and looks the goods

Yeah we have all seen these 2 cars running around Sydney. I just bought my BF T and im as happy as a pig in sh!t.

So get over it and buy one. Its a real car not a matchbox car like the WRX.

I have relayed this story here before... and I'll do it again...

I know of a new shape M5 that has done only around 5,000k's and is on it's 5th brand new transmission, for some reason that even BMW can't work out the car has destroyed every new transmission they have fitted... now I'm not bagging BMW here, but pointing out a fact that every car can have problems, unfortunately it can be luck of the draw... personally I have very little trouble with my XR, the biggest problem with regard to warranty has been a replaced radiator, but that was replaced under warranty anyway...

Hey egg mate as has been said we do not know the full storey with these cars.

But I can tell you this I have had no reason to complain about our turbo.

As for turbo bolts coming loose all turbo cars have this happen and if the car is serviced right it does not become a problem.

As part of servicing is to check these bolts.

Do not make the mistake of taking to unknown cars as a giude to the rest of the ones on the street.

Hey Egg,

That's two out of how many cars sold????

What I'm trying to say is you only make noise when you have somthing go wrong, not many people go out of there way to say "Gee my cars great, ive had no problems!" if you know what I mean?

I have had problems with my T... all of which was fixed under warranty and hasn't failed again. Im running a replacement T5 manual with plenty of power and it doesnt make any noise. The brakes have been replaced with premos, other than that there isnt much that can go wrong with it... unless you are REALLY picky I think you shouldnt have a problem.
