As the cars get more powerful there is more importance on the driver. In a car with 300rwkw's the difference will be 1/2 a second or more. If you have a car with 350rwkw's + the difference could be nearly a second. This would be due to the following.1) heating the tyres and making sure they are not wet. Its also important not to over heat the tyres.2) launching at the correct rpm. If you launch with too much rpm you'll get wheelspina dn not enough will bog the car down slightly. To do this correctly you need to know the cars exact stall point in the trans.3) Not holding the revs up too much whilst waiting to launch, this heats up everything and will also slow the time.4) Shallow staging. This involves only just lighting the second white light. this can take a 1/10th or more off your time.5) having to shift manually. This means at the right rpm's. You'll also need to know what this is.6) being able to keep your foot flat to the boards as the car is going well past 200kmph. This might sound easy but some people might not be able to do it.Hope this helps.Geea.
