This is when I had 257rwkws.

60' was 2.00

Tyres were Maxxis Zero Tractions at 25psi

MPH was 112.85

ET    12.55

Auto T

Do you have any auto mods Luke?

that's a great time for that power. When do you plan on testing your new tune?

New tune will get tried out during Big Vic Mk11.

Interesting thread but I would just like to comment about relating power outputs to track times. In other threads some people say dyno figures means nothing, it's what it does down the dragstrip is what counts. Take Craig's car as an example. It has 377 RWKW and has done 10.68, presumably with Craig driving. Give the keys to me :stirthepot: and I would probably be lucky to do 12s. But the car still has the same amount of power, so an observer that doesn't know it's not actually my car might think it was a bit slow considering the power output. This is not meant as a criticism of Craig and his car (or anyone else), just a comment/observation.

I agree Ross. This is seen with Habib's recent 11 second pass. The more experienced driver who posted it for Habib ran 3mph faster in the same car and went into the 11s.

Experience it seems counts for a fair bit, so does set up of the car. Tyres, fuel, exhaust modifications, air temps and track conditions all add up to increase or decrease in MPH and ET.

Given this it would appear that there are a similar number of variables in each (dyno/drag strip) when comparing the power of an engine/vehicle.

Ive been down the strip a total of 4 times, once with the stallie and 340-odd rwkw. I ran a 12.5@119mph, not a good effort considering the car's power but that's to be expected given its setup and driver's skill (or lack thereof).

Guys I don't know that I agree with some of the comments re driver's skill reflecting 1/4 mile times. And I'm referring to autos in particular - manuals I agree skill comes into it a lot more.

I would have thought the owner of the car knows the best setup for tyre pressures and what stall speeed he can get away with. In terms of going down the strip give the tyres a quick warm up, put it into SSS mode and stall it up to the correct revs. when you see the last amber, floor it and let er rip. The gearchanges are the same for everyone in an auto.

I know people have different reaction times but that doesn't affect ET's. I just don't think that there's that much difference in the driver inputs at our level. Sure at the professional level where you've got tyre shake etc but not on 11-12 sec cars.

Of course there's the driver weight difference.....

In my opinion track conditions, temp, humidity, traction etc make the bggest difference.

Anyway, back on topic hopefully I can post dyno sheet and timeslip next week when the car is back

Here is my personal best.

Standard Auto and stall with kuhmo ecsta 245/40/18's @20psi.

Here is the kicker... car dynoed 303 on one dyno, 2 days later 277 on different one.
