He's got you pegged and he's playing with your mind.

:msm:

I think you have got it in one.

You see I am attempting to brainwash them to be staunch anti Expensive Daewoo folk to annoy a few of my mates, yes I have Expensive Daewoo mates but I make them park their SS’s around the corner and walk to my house.

For example when teaching the kids to look before crossing the road I would say…

“Lookout there is a car coming and if it is a Late model camira the steering and the brakes are not very good, so they may hit you”

So the eldest one to this day still says “Yucky Late model camira car” each time he see’s one.

But the little fella see’s an XR but says “Yucky common car” his version of the same sentence.

I know he just does it to see my reaction….but I bite every time. :glad:

Perhaps I should take heed of a quote from the great Sheriff Buford T Justice of Smoky and the Bandit fame.

“Son when I get home, I’m gonna smack your momma in the mouth”

So taking NoGaryNo’s advice, does anyone know where I car buy vodka by the case… :msm:

Go back to basics and use the tried and true method of the flash cards, both my kids could read and write before they started school.

This makes it so much easier for them, they didn't have to struggle to learn and adjust to the new enviroment at the same time.

A friends kid could not do either and is struggling all the time to keep up with the rest of the class.

On one side of the cards is a picture the other the letter and the word

eg: A picture of an apple and on the other side the letter A with the word under it.

The last set I purchased at Big W in the book dept.

Also when reading to your kid try following the words with your finger, not all the time because both of you will get sick of it just every now and then.

For books we had a collect of over 300 of those cheap little books you get at the supermarket. And guess what the schools use.
