I have to say that is one very tough sounding XR8! What is done to this car? Does this car have an exhaust? From that video it sounded very loud. 11.763 is an awesome time, good work to mick egan and crew for getting the boss so fast. Now I just want one.

The car is bolt ons only and edited

It has extractors, high flow cats and custom exhaust

It uses 25% under drive pullies, 80 mm throttle body, blue power cold air intake and was tuned by Blue power racing developments, It was using a 3500 hi stall and 4.1 diff gears.

That 11 second run, it had no exhaust on it

It's also a pursuit not a XR8 and it's also the Boss that knocked Geea out of the DYO racing at the LS1 nationals :spoton:

Again well done ratter. This effort should encourage other boss owners to try to push the boundaries of their cars. Look forward to seeing an unopened BOSS sedan in the 11's... hmm who will be next??? watch out LS1s muhahaha :)

very well done, have you run it full weight, and exhaust on, because it would be still very quick, would have to go close to a 11 still wouldn't it.

well done again, Criss can get the power out of these things,

have you had any oil pump isues?

My car still holds the N/A and Unopened records, but I'm sure the N/a Record is about to be broken

are you pushing it further, or is that someone else ?

The best it ran full weight (1820kg)and with exhaust was 12.23, but that was before the latest tune. We did not take much weight out of it possibly 100-120 kg so maybe an 11 may have been possible.

Have not had any oil pump issues at this stage, but they are in the back of my mind which is why the car has not been raced again.

According to the unofficial rules, replacing oil pump gears makes the motor opened, although they themselves do not make a performance gain, it gives you the ability to rev the motor harder which gives it more performance, but also how do you police if camshaft timing is altered at the same time.

Chris did a great job of getting the power out of it, but He had the easy part just using his keyboard, while I had to do all the physical work with all the mechanical things :gooff: . Just joking Chris had definitly done his part well
