your right it could be a good thing, it proves the sport has gained popularity with the aussie viewers and as well as our neighbours off shore.. the hardest thing would be if ch 7 bring back Bruce Macavany to commentate.( mr sport himself..)

The big problem will be that 7 will have the rights to afl as well so are they going to show the v8's on sunday or the afl.

Ian

Ian's wright. the problem aint that its going to 7. the major issue is that ch7 just spent mega bucks to win the AFL rights so we'll probably be watching V8's at 10 o'clock sunday night

Like a famous person (and top bloke as well) once said.......

Don't think this'll be a good thing, could be midnight telecasts from next year onwards :pinch:

If 7 does the wrong thing by fans then they wont watch... and Id be surprised if the V8 Supercar management would agree to inferior TV coverage...surely not?!

I still cant believe one of the most watched sources of entetainment I guess you could call it, is not transmitted live?

Cricket is live, and there are more spectators to a V8 round than there is to a cricket match... the only true live coverage is Bathurst, pathetic to say the least.

I sure havent got a problem watching the Historics running around between V8 races......

I for one will be glad to see someone else take over the coverage of V8 Supercars. IMOP CH10 are definately Expensive Daewoo bias. With nothing on TV worth watching last night I decided to to watch last weekends race at Winton again on video.

I did'nt realize how many laps they followed those Expensive Daewoo wankers for, especially Toll Racing. Anyone would have thought they were leading the race. The two leaders Lowndes & Bright were within 1 sec of each other and they rarely followed them. Helll we were even lucky to see Lowndes cross the checkered flag.

Sadly it happens during most of the race breoadcasts. Ford should be jumping up and down about providing equal coverage, after all they are half of the entertainment.

If that's the best they can do good ridins to them I say. :spoton:

On a side note. Thank heavens for LOWNDES, how sad is SBR and FORD looking without Ambrose. Other than Lowndes no one else has bee able to step up to the plate and fill his place as a consistent front runner. It's easy to see he was the driving force behind both of them and was dragging Ingall along with him as well..
