This is a joke, it must be.... :stirthepot:

Channel 10 has spent years building the brand and value of V8's only to have channel 7 come in and steal it.

All I can say is shame v8 super cars for taking the money over commitment.

Channel 7 will do a crap job as they had for many years before 10 got in and built up the sport.

Why is it that its ALWAYS money and not track record that seems to win the broadcast negotiations. Channel 7 seems to be cashed up to be able to buy V8's and AFL all in one year.

I hope that 10 start to broadcast some of the fringe events like Brutes, Production cars and Legends.

It is a sad day for motorsport.

Glad I'm not the only one that thought the same. Channel 10 are really starting to get their sh!t together and the telecasts at the moment are better than they have ever been.

Last thing we need is the male model from mudgee calling the v8's :stirthepot: That'll be a serious turn-off (a bit like Saleen's mumma)

Michael white would have been a big sell point for ch 7 seeing that he use to head up the telecasts. I'm sure crompton and the boys will go accross depending on the lengths of their contracts but I hope they leave diffey/duffy at ten or send him back to the states.

IMO Channel Ten has treaetd the viewers with total contempt for years. How many times do they cut for an ad break just when there is a challenge happening on track? Telecast comes back on and not even a replay of the overtake. This happens time and time again. And the commentators are pathetic - half the time they don't notice changes of position on track as they are glued to their own monitors and only see what the producer is putting to air.

Channel Seven did a better job when they had the telecast (of Bathurst) - Channel Nine was even better. Anyone has to be better than Ten.

I hope you’re right Jeff(s), but every day we are getting less content and more ads on every channel......even pay tv is suffering.

Time will tell I suppose but I doubt the quality of telecasts on any station will return to the times of old.
