Hi All,

My ride is a BA XR6T Late 2003. I have Recently had Diff Rebuilt to

cure Clunking Sound. Problem is I have a persistant knocking Sound

on Take off.

I have had car back to Ford 3 Times they cannot seem to find the

problem. My Brother runs Mechanical Workshop and we are in process

using sensors without joy.

Anybody out there have similar Problem? If so what was it?

cheers

Mark

Check Exhaust connections, rubber etc. I am sure you have already done this...

Turn the radio up....

Might just be another crappy diff like every second person gets.

hey mate, is it just on take off?? I get a knocking noise when I go over bumps and around corners. Mine is because of the exhaust. Ford told me its normal, because it was fitted with a "sports" exhaust. Buggered if I know.. I've just grown to live with it!

Is it like a clicking noise. I find with my t that when I leave the drive way I get a bit of a clicking type noise that comes from the rear of the car

I thought it was just me...

I have the same Late 2003 BA T and just had the diff done.. and I noticed yesterday that there is a knocking sound and it seems to be on bumps and take off sometimes... I have the battery in the boot and thought it might be that making the noise..

Mark when they changed your diff did they change the "bush" that holds it all in place.. I had to be without my car for 2 days to wait for the special "bush" they said it has a few problems and mine was cracked.. I also think it could be the bush not sitting correctly or just setteling.. I have to take it back anyways cause they "fixed" the steering shudder for the 5th time but my wheel now has to be turned a bit to the left for me to drive straight! I have all the luck!
